1. Auxiliary gas
As we all know, a certain amount of auxiliary gas is required when cutting with a fiber laser cutting machine. At this time, the auxiliary gas must have enough pressure to completely remove the waste residue produced by cutting. Generally, the air pressure should be reduced when cutting thicker workpieces. , residue stuck to the workpiece will damage the cutting edge. Increasing the gas pressure can increase the cutting speed, but after reaching a maximum value, continuing to increase the gas pressure will cause the cutting speed to decrease. This interference affects melting efficiency and may sometimes change the pattern structure, resulting in reduced cut quality. If the beam is too divergent and the spot is too large, it may even cause serious consequences such as inability to effectively cut.
2. Precision of the workbench
If the accuracy of the workbench is uneven or for other reasons, it will also lead to high-precision laser cutting effects.
3. Laser beam
The beam emitted by the laser is conical, so the slit cut out is also conical. In this case, a stainless steel with a thickness of 0.4 mm will be much smaller than a 3 mm slit. Therefore, the shape of the laser beam is a major factor affecting the cutting accuracy of metal laser cutting machines. Under this cone-shaped laser beam condition, the greater the thickness of the workpiece, the lower the accuracy will be, so the slit will be larger. Even if it is the same material, if the material composition is different, the cutting accuracy will be different. Therefore, the workpiece material also has a certain impact on laser cutting accuracy.
